Review of the Week: Soap and Glory Glow All Out "Luminizing Radiance" Face Powder

Why hello there!

This week I am going to be reviewing Glow All Out by Soap and Glory.

I first saw this product on Fleur De Force's blog a few months ago, and I really have been craving it ever since.

I was kind of teetering on the edge on whether to buy it or not, as it is quite expensive for me, at £11.

However, I then got a £10 Boots gift voucher.... so why not buy it then!

This is advertised to give you "skin like a supermodel", and is a "luminizing" face powder designed to work like a highlighter.

Firstly, the packaging is just gorgeous! It is a sturdy cardboard case with a magnetised lid and a large mirror that is perfect for touch-ups. A lot of people have said this, but it really does remind me of the Benefit branding. It is very vintage-inspired, and just all around lovely!

The product it's self is just amazing. It certainly does it's job, but it does it subtly without any shimmer or glitter. The way I would describe this is certainly a glow... so the name is very fitting!

You only need a little bit to get beautifully glowing, healthy looking skin, and it draws the attention away from imperfections to where you have decided to bring out.

The versatility is very good for this product.. You can get a natural  or quite a intense "glow" as such.

Overall, I absolutely love this product! It stands out from my other highlighters as it doesn't look too shimmery and over the top. It looks beautiful and natural!

You can buy this from Boots for £11, and all Soap and Glory products (cosmetics and bath and body) are currently on 3-4-2 in store.

Thanks for reading! Stay tuned and follow for more!

September Favourites!!!!! :-)

Heya!

September. The month with a mix of sunshine and rain. The transition from Summer to Autumn when you don't know whether to dare to wear jumpers or shorts.
One of my favourite months!
I have come across some new favourites, so here we go!
The first is the Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Fatal Apple.

I love this lipgloss! It is a beautiful red colour that is perfect for Autumn.

It looks bright in the bottle but once on the lips is quite sheer. However, it can be layered to quite a full colour.

I have actually never tried a Revlon product before, as I have always found it a bit expensive for my pocket, but after this, I am sure to be buying more - this is the best lipgloss I have ever used!

Amazing! Expect a review soon!
Next is my Avon Mega Effects Mascara.

I'm not going to waffle on about this.

Read my full review here!

Next is my Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencils from Collection.

Again, not going to waffle on...

Read my full review here!

Next is the Rimmel Stay Blushed Liquid Cheek Tint in Sunkissed Cherry.

I love this as it dries to a natural finish and gives a lovely flush of colour.

I tend to go for more red toned make up in Autumn/Winter, and this is perfect.

It lasts all day, and is just generally awesome!

Expect a full review!

Finally, my last beauty item is the MUA Mosaic Blush in English Rose.

This is a tad too shimmery for me... so I use it as a pink toned highlighter!

It looks gorgeous on the skin and gives a beautiful natural glow on my skin tone.

It is beautiful on as a blusher too, just not on an everyday basis for me.

The only problem I have is... it smells weird.

But I'll let that slide, haha!

Gorgeous!

Time for foooooooooooooooood yum!

This month I have been eating the Muller Light Greek Style Yoghurt like CRAZY!

They are so yum!

I personally love the honeyed peach flavour (PIECES OF PEACH!! mmmmmmmm)

And... 90 calories!

Pretty good, right?!

So much yum.

So. Much. Yum.

 And finally, my music choice!

So this is kind of an old-ish song (it's been in the chart for 6 weeks), but I love it sooooo much, and I can't stop listening to it.

It is "Sonnentanz (Sun Don't Shine)" by Klangkarussell ft. Will Heard.

This is such a good song! I love Will Heard's voice, it's so unique and just basically awesome!

It has such a good beat, and I love the lyrics!

I love the version with Cara Delevigne too, she has quite a soft voice that goes brilliantly with Will's - click here to see that, 'tis amazing!!

That concludes my September favourites! Roll on October - my birthday, jumpers, bold lip colours, staying inside with a candle and a book!

Review Of The Week: Avon Mega Effects Mascara

Hey guys!

So this week I am going to be telling you about my latest obsession... the Avon Mega Effects Mascara!

OHMYGODOHMYGOD

IT'SSOAMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, back to normal...

This mascara has been controversial because... well, you can probably tell by the picture, it hasn't got a normal mascara wand...

It's a mini paintbrush!

This mascara is so amazing. The brush is so awesome at getting all the little lashes that you can't reach with a normal brush, and the formula is brilliant - it builds on it's self brilliantly and fans your lashes out and up.

If I'm honest, the first time I used it I looked like a very clumsy panda.

Oh well, once you get used to it, it's amazing!

It is pretty expensive at £10.00, but if you buy it now, you get a free eye primer, eyeliner, make up remover and brush!

Overall, I just love it... so much.

You can buy it from your local Avon representative, or here

Review of the Week: Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencils

Hey guys!

This week I am going to be reviewing the Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencils.

I first heard about these on Maddie's blog - click here to have a look, she's a great blogger! - and ever since I have, I have been CRAVING them. Literally.

So when I was in Hampshire, I went into Boots and had a look.... and bought two.

Firstly, I have Vanilla Sky. This is a beautiful shimmering cream colour that is a perfect highlight on the inner corner. It is very shimmery, but not glittery at all. I love this colour and I have worked it into my everyday 'routine' if you will :)

Secondly, there is Hot Chocolate, and this is a gorgeous lighter brown colour. It has quite a bit of shimmer, but nowhere near as much as Vanilla Sky. I have been using it smudged under the eye as a very discreet liner type look.

These colours are gorgeous, I love them!

The formula it's self is beautiful. It is very creamy and pigmented, goes on very smoothly and has a brilliant colour pay off. It is also waterproof and you practically have to take your eyes out to get it off!

The only bugbear I have with these is the packaging! The lid for Vanilla Sky came off in my make up bag and it got ruined, so I had to sharpen it to death before I got to use it again!

Otherwise, new favourite!

You can buy these at your local Boots for £3.19 or here

Review of the Week: Rimmel Scandeleyes Retro Glam Mascara

Hey guys!

This week's review is on the newest addition to the Rimmel Scandeleyes collection - their Retro Glam Mascara.

Just to clarify, I know I'm contradicting myself! Anyway....

If you read my blog regularly, you'll know that I raved about this as the best mascara I had used in a while in my August favourites post - click here to check it out.

However, opinions can change...!

This mascara is supposedly designed to "fit the lashline" with the hourglass shaped brush.
However, it is so oversized that you cannot get to any lashes other than the prominent lashes in the middle of your eye.

Also, this is quite a wet formula. I bought this a few days after it's launch mid-August, and I was really hoping it would dry out a bit to make it a little quicker drying and a bit less smudge-y.
But no, it hasn't.
And, in conjunction with the brush, this means that you have to re-do your make-up at least three times, because you end up with mascara all over your face and eyebrows.

I really wanted to love this.

And in some respects, I do. I really like the look it gives your lashes, very lush and voluminous, but I cannot deal with the whole make-up re-doing. I don't have the time!!!!!!!!

I have the "oversized brush" problem with all of the Scandaleyes Mascaras. But I highly recommend this if you have time to re-do your make-up at least twice every morning!

But hope is not lost. Next week I'm due a massive Avon delivery... including that controversial mascara!!!

If I haven't put you off too much (*laughs*), you can pick this up from Superdrug for £6.99.

August Favourites!

Hey everyone!

So I have decided on a new angle - posts once a week and a monthly favourites! It just works better around my schedule and is just a bit easier than once a day. Anyway!

I am doing my first favourites post for August. I tried a lot of new products in August that I fell in love with. I will also include a food favourite and a music favourite!

So... yeah!

The first item is the Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara.

I am in love with this. Seriously.

First of all, I love the packaging. Chic, non?

Secondly, I love the brush! It has a unique (to my knowledge) timer shape, which fits to the lash line and coats every single lash, and really adds volume and length.

The formula is really good too - it isn't waterproof, but I have found that it stays on all day, depending on whether or not I have PE. *cringes*

I think a full review will probably be coming, but for now, my favourite mascara for August!

Next isn't really high street, but...

It is the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette, and it is unbelievable.

I had money burning a hole in my pocket, and this fit the bill quite nicely!

The packaging is gorgeous, very sleek and handy, in a small plastic case with a fairly large mirror on the inner lid.

It consists of 6 shades of eye shadow, 5 matte and 1 satin.

They are neutrals, and beautiful. The satin is a white highlight called Venus that gives a beautiful highlight. The other colours consist of a cream yellow called Foxy, a
pink/nude shade called Walk of Shame, a light grey/brown called Naked 2, a dark brown crease colour called Faint and a black with the name Crave.

You can pretty much start a lot of looks with this palette, but also makes a very subtle, natural eye look in several different ways.

I have used this every single day since I bought it, and, being Urban Decay shadows, the pigmentation of these are awesome, and they last pretty much 8 hours without a primer! And also, both the dark brown and black make excellent eyeliners.

If you want a good quality, versatile, everyday neutral palette, I highly recommend this... but the price is quite high, at £20 per palette.

The next item is a rediscovery for me, and it is the Rimmel Match Perfection concealer.

This is a 2-in-1 conceal and highlight product, and it is really, really brilliant for concealing under eye circles.

I also use this to cover redness on my jawline and cheeks, and it gives a beautiful glowing effect on the skin.

I love it, however, do NOT use it on your blemishes. Ever. Seriously.

My next item is something you may have read my previous review on, but I got the others in the collection.

It is the Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm in Cherry Me, Pink Punch and Peach Kiss.

I have been using these like crazy, especially Cherry Me!
They all are very moisturising and give a lovely hint of colour.

I'm not going to ramble on about these, so read that review if you're interested!

The final beauty related item(s?) are these foundation sponges from Superdrug.

It is £1.70 for a pack of 20 and they are very good quality!

They apply foundation and concealer evenly and flawlessly, and can be re-used. Bargain alert!!!

On to my random favourites!

For my music favourite, I have been constantly listening to Miley Cyrus' new(ish) single, We Can't Stop.

*sings*

I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this song!

I have always been a huge fan of Miley and I am obsessed with this song!

She has obviously been causing a lot of controversy lately, and I don't necessarily agree with some of the things she does, but she is one of my favourite artists, so... *shrugs*

This song is so-o-o catchy and just makes you want to dance!

I'm not too sure of the style of music yet, but we'll see!

But anyway, hopefully her next single, and her upcoming album, will be just as awesome!

Love it!!

Finally, my food favourite is.... *drum roll please*

MILKA OREO!

Oh my good gumdrops, yum....

I really shouldn't eat it, but I do.

It's so good, just... buy it.

Heaven in a wrapper.

Oh my goodness, now I crave it *slaps self on wrist*
