Review of the Week: Topshop Lipstick in Inhibition

Hey! (especially Joseph Buffa)

Today I am going to be reviewing a new makeup bag staple for me - Topshop's Inhibition lipstick.

This is described as a dark plum and having a matte finish.

Recently, I have been into wearing dark lips in everyday life, and I have also been into wearing purple. Everywhere. I would quite happily cover every showing bit of skin in purple (this may have something to do with Elsa from Frozen's eye makeup haha), so when I wandered into Topshop last week, I knew I had to buy this.

Firstly, this is the first thing I have ever bought from the Topshop make up line, and I love the packaging; it's right up my alley. It is quite compact and very sturdy, and the colour scheme is quite unique, so it stands out in my makeup bag. I also really like the pattern of the three stripes along the bottom.

Anyway,on to the product!

The formula is gorgeous, and even though it is a matte, I've found that it isn't half as drying as a lot of the other high street options. It goes on very full colour and it stays like that - it practically stains your lips (but when you wipe it off it doesn't stain). The colour it's self is beautiful, a deep, dark, but somehow vibrant purple

Makeup Bag Essentials!

Hey!

Today I am going to be giving you three of my makeup bag essentials (though it isn't necessarily makeup ha ha ha) - I never pack my bag without these things!

So lets get into it!

Firstly, I always use Vaseline! It is such an old school product, but you can use it for absolutely everything, no lie. You can use it to condition your eyelashes and cuticles, as a lip balm, as a protective layer for your hair line if you are home dying it, even a intensive foot balm, just to name a few! So handy to have around.

Next up is talcum powder which is yet again a hugely multi-use product. Most people know you can use it as a dry shampoo, but you can also use it as a face powder (this is something I often do if I run out of my normal Rimmel Stay Matte - it's translucent and does a really good job of absorbing oil) and again, if you run out of deodorant, you can put a little of this on and you're good to go.

Next is a good quality tinted lip balm, more specifically the Sleek Pout Polish in Pink Cadillac, which is a lovely deep pink shade. You can obviously use this as a low maintenance lip colour, but you can double it up as a gel blush for a more natural look, so you get two in one. It's really good to throw in your beach bag in the                                                                           summer too, as it is SPF 15 and just gives you a                                                                                natural glow. It also smells like vanilla, which is a bonus!

Well that's it for today guys. Sorry I have been TOTALLY slack lately, but you know... computers break, life goes on, ha ha ha.

I'm back!!!

Hey!

So in my last post, I said my laptop would hopefully be fixed by early December...

That didn't really work out so well, considering it is now the 12th of March.

But anyway, I'm back and I am going to be posting once a week *crosses fingers* starting from this week (more specifically Friday 14th) as there is still some complications with uploading photos and such.

Thanks!

Review of the Week: Soap and Glory Glow All Out "Luminizing Radiance" Face Powder

Why hello there!

This week I am going to be reviewing Glow All Out by Soap and Glory.

I first saw this product on Fleur De Force's blog a few months ago, and I really have been craving it ever since.

I was kind of teetering on the edge on whether to buy it or not, as it is quite expensive for me, at £11.

However, I then got a £10 Boots gift voucher.... so why not buy it then!

This is advertised to give you "skin like a supermodel", and is a "luminizing" face powder designed to work like a highlighter.

Firstly, the packaging is just gorgeous! It is a sturdy cardboard case with a magnetised lid and a large mirror that is perfect for touch-ups. A lot of people have said this, but it really does remind me of the Benefit branding. It is very vintage-inspired, and just all around lovely!

The product it's self is just amazing. It certainly does it's job, but it does it subtly without any shimmer or glitter. The way I would describe this is certainly a glow... so the name is very fitting!

You only need a little bit to get beautifully glowing, healthy looking skin, and it draws the attention away from imperfections to where you have decided to bring out.

The versatility is very good for this product.. You can get a natural  or quite a intense "glow" as such.

Overall, I absolutely love this product! It stands out from my other highlighters as it doesn't look too shimmery and over the top. It looks beautiful and natural!

You can buy this from Boots for £11, and all Soap and Glory products (cosmetics and bath and body) are currently on 3-4-2 in store.

Thanks for reading! Stay tuned and follow for more!

September Favourites!!!!! :-)

Heya!

September. The month with a mix of sunshine and rain. The transition from Summer to Autumn when you don't know whether to dare to wear jumpers or shorts.
One of my favourite months!
I have come across some new favourites, so here we go!
The first is the Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Fatal Apple.

I love this lipgloss! It is a beautiful red colour that is perfect for Autumn.

It looks bright in the bottle but once on the lips is quite sheer. However, it can be layered to quite a full colour.

I have actually never tried a Revlon product before, as I have always found it a bit expensive for my pocket, but after this, I am sure to be buying more - this is the best lipgloss I have ever used!

Amazing! Expect a review soon!
Next is my Avon Mega Effects Mascara.

I'm not going to waffle on about this.

Read my full review here!

Next is my Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencils from Collection.

Again, not going to waffle on...

Read my full review here!

Next is the Rimmel Stay Blushed Liquid Cheek Tint in Sunkissed Cherry.

I love this as it dries to a natural finish and gives a lovely flush of colour.

I tend to go for more red toned make up in Autumn/Winter, and this is perfect.

It lasts all day, and is just generally awesome!

Expect a full review!

Finally, my last beauty item is the MUA Mosaic Blush in English Rose.

This is a tad too shimmery for me... so I use it as a pink toned highlighter!

It looks gorgeous on the skin and gives a beautiful natural glow on my skin tone.

It is beautiful on as a blusher too, just not on an everyday basis for me.

The only problem I have is... it smells weird.

But I'll let that slide, haha!

Gorgeous!

Time for foooooooooooooooood yum!

This month I have been eating the Muller Light Greek Style Yoghurt like CRAZY!

They are so yum!

I personally love the honeyed peach flavour (PIECES OF PEACH!! mmmmmmmm)

And... 90 calories!

Pretty good, right?!

So much yum.

So. Much. Yum.

 And finally, my music choice!

So this is kind of an old-ish song (it's been in the chart for 6 weeks), but I love it sooooo much, and I can't stop listening to it.

It is "Sonnentanz (Sun Don't Shine)" by Klangkarussell ft. Will Heard.

This is such a good song! I love Will Heard's voice, it's so unique and just basically awesome!

It has such a good beat, and I love the lyrics!

I love the version with Cara Delevigne too, she has quite a soft voice that goes brilliantly with Will's - click here to see that, 'tis amazing!!

That concludes my September favourites! Roll on October - my birthday, jumpers, bold lip colours, staying inside with a candle and a book!

Thanks for reading! Stay tuned and follow for more!
